| This
tournament is hosted by the club on Friday evenings
from 8:00pm (UK time) until about
9.20pm. It also includes a goulash on UK Bank Holiday Mondays. |
| The tournament is an Individual with Matchpoint scoring. |
| Each tournament is 12 boards long, with 2 boards each round (6 rounds) with a clocked movement. |
| Each individual tournament winner will have their name put up on the website in our Hall of Fame for all to see. |
| Everyone receives
points for each tournament which will go towards a quarterly
league depending on their position: • 1st place will get a number of points equal to the number of players who enter; • 2nd place will get one less than 1st place; • 3rd place will get one less than 2nd (and this will carry on all the way down the field until ...); • Last place will get one point. |
| Each quarter consists of 13 weeks and there will be a tournament in at least 10 of those weeks - to allow for off-days. If there are tournaments held in more than the 10 weeks then the additional weeks will count. Players who have missed one or more tournaments can thus reach the expected 10 matches, other players will only have their best 10 results count towards the league. |
